 SubsDue Privacy Policy

Effective date: 5 September 2026

SubsDue (“the app”) is an Android subscription tracker published as SubsDue: Subscription Tracker (package com.subsdue.subscription.tracker.app). This policy explains what the app does with information.

1. We do not create an account for you

You do not sign up. We do not run a SubsDue user database. Your subscription list is stored on your device.

2. What stays on your phone

The app stores locally: subscription names, prices, currencies, billing dates, trials, categories, payment-method labels, notes, reminder settings, payment history you mark in the app, and similar settings. This is not a bank connection. We do not log into your bank, email, or streaming accounts.

3. What leaves the device

Exchange rates: the app may request public USD rates from open.er-api.com so totals can show in your display currency. That request does not include your subscription list.

Optional Google Drive backup: only if you tap backup and sign in with Google. The app then writes or reads a backup file (subsdue-backup.json) using Google’s Drive API with the drive.file scope (files the app creates, not your whole Drive). Google’s own privacy policy applies to that sign-in.

Optional file export: if you export JSON or CSV, you choose where that file goes (share sheet, email, etc.).

Store listing / ratings: if you open the Play Store from the app, Google Play handles that visit.

4. Screenshots

“Add from screenshot” reads text on the device. The image is not uploaded to SubsDue servers. We do not operate a cloud OCR service.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on the device (including after reboot, subject to your phone’s battery settings). Reminder content is your own subscription names and dates. We do not send marketing push from a SubsDue server.

6. Widgets

Home-screen widgets show data already on the device (next bill, monthly total, overdue). They do not send that data to us.

7. Ads and purchases (this version)

This version of SubsDue does not show ads and does not offer in-app purchases. If a later version adds ads or a paid Pro upgrade, this policy will be updated before those features go live.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. Do not use it to store a child’s personal data.

9. Retention and deletion

Data remains on the device until you delete a subscription, wipe all data in Settings, or uninstall the app. Uninstall removes the local database. Drive or exported files you saved elsewhere are under your control.

10. Security

We do not host your list. Protect your phone with a lock screen. Anyone with access to the unlocked device can see the list. Drive backups follow your Google account security.

11. Your rights

Because we do not hold an account with your list, access and deletion happen in the app (edit, delete, export, wipe) or by uninstalling. For this policy, email [YOUR EMAIL].

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
